FAQ
Questions merchants ask.
Do I need my own Apple and Google developer accounts?
Yes. App Store rules require apps built from templates to be published by the business itself, so your app is listed under your name. You need an Apple Developer Program membership and a Google Play developer account; Byterz walks you through connecting them, then builds and uploads your app for you.
Do design changes need a new app store review?
No. Pages, blocks, colours and the tab bar are design settings the app loads when it starts, so changes go live as soon as you publish them in the editor. New app versions are only needed for things like a new app icon or name.
How do customers pay?
With Shopify’s own checkout inside the app, so your payment methods, discounts, taxes and shipping work exactly as in your online store. Orders appear in Shopify as usual.
What does it cost?
A monthly plan, billed by Shopify with your other apps, starting with a 14-day free trial. Byterz takes no fee on your sales. Designing and previewing your app is free; you only need a plan to publish.
Can customers sign in and see their orders?
Yes. Customers sign in with your store’s customer accounts to see orders and addresses, and they can delete their account from inside the app, as both app stores require.
