This policy covers Byterz Apps, the Shopify app that builds mobile apps for Shopify stores, and this website. Each store’s own app has its own privacy policy, published by that store.
What we collect from merchants
- Your store’s Shopify domain and the data Shopify shares with installed apps, used to run the app.
- Your app design, store listing text and app icon.
- Credentials you connect (Apple, Google and Firebase keys), stored encrypted and used only to build your app and send your notifications. They are deleted when you uninstall.
- Your plan and its status, from Shopify billing.
What we process for your customers
On your behalf we store push notification tokens of customers who turn notifications on, and requests to delete an account made on the web. We do not store customer names, emails or orders: those stay in Shopify.
Service providers
Hosting (DigitalOcean), Shopify, Apple and Google (app builds and notifications), and Expo (app builds). Each processes data only to provide its service.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall, we delete your connected credentials at once, and all store data when Shopify asks us to (48 hours after uninstall). Customer data requests and deletions from Shopify are handled automatically.
